I am glad that this blog is up and running again.
Its very important that citizens visit this blog
that has been created to service them. We can
not afford to allow NO LAW ENFORCEMENT agency
to walk over citizens like they are rugs.

About 10 minutes ago I wrote a e-mail directly to
Brother Scott. Regarding a recent article concerning
a brutality case in the Northeast District (11th), and
I am concerned about the contents of the article that
makes me wonder where does the new Mayor stands on Police Brutality.

I am glad to be the first one to post on this new blog
site edition. ” Black Power ” Brother WilliamX

Hey, where’s this new content you were talking about last July. Have police brutality in Detroit stopped?

Ron Scott.
Your over inflated ego has hit a new low. Ive been following your libel and slanderous ways throughout the last year and Im here to inform you, you are beeing monitored by the monitors. You will be held accountable for you uneductaed an ignorant comments mad on your radio show and the FCC has been notified. I love our DPD and believe thet have the hardest occupation in the nation and people like you do nothing but make yourselves look foolish. I will assume in the near future you will be served with civil papers and hauled into court to explain and defend yourself in a defamation lawsiut and I will be there.
Oh yeah, the dpd Is getting tasers, its just a matter of time. So keep going to the BOPC meeting and keeping running your jib, because your own mouth will be your downfall.

How naive you are, “Resident of Detroit”, to think that we should not question the actions of police. Yes, they have a difficult job but it is also a job that carries power that is often abused. People (I guess such as myself according to you) look foolish? Why would anyone or any organization that asks for full accountability by the police department look foolish? Are you really that totally trustful of any police department? Now, THAT sounds foolish.

Perhaps you need a personal experience to enlighten you. Maybe a member of your family who trusted a cop (aren’t we all taught to do so?) and ends up dead might help. Maybe you should experience being told by the cops during the death investigation that if you continue to “harrass” them (uh, that would be persistent inquiries as to status and findings) that systematically, your entire family would suddenly find themselves in jail.

You’re happy about police officers getting taser guns? Have you read up on them and the (more than you want to know) times of mis-use? You advocate “monitoring by the monitors”? So in summary, we should all be obedient little lambs, give away our civil rights and let police rule without accountability?

Your mouth is not likely to be your down fall, more than likely it will be your gullibility.

My name is Pearl Barkley and currently I am a member of MAAP (Mothers Against Police Brutality). We are located in East Harlem NY. As everyone should be aware, police brutality is a national problem that must be addressed. I am seeking information on any form of legislation that has been introduced on a federal, state, or city level which imposes some strictures on police officers who have been found to be brutal, murderous, or abusive. My phone number is 212-410-4209.
Thank You
